Lowest possible air fare? And tips.?

I heard that you can find lower prices on plane tickets when you book on different dyas/ times. Is that true if so what are the best tips and ways to get cheaper tickets. Im going from Washington to Virginia.

Fly on off days like tuesdays. Book early morning or late night flights.

Depart on either a Tuesday or Wednesday, and stay until at least that Monday.  Book at least 3 weeks in advance.

Check Internet fares right after midnight ET. This is when they load up the extra seats not sold and cancellations into the "special fare" bucket.

Turns out it's Wednesday from midnight to 1a.m. in the time zone of the airline's "home base."  or headquarter

That's when the computer systems of most airlines get rid of the reserved but unbooked lower fare reservations. Most of us at one time or another have booked a reservation, then let it go without purchase.
