  1. Farrukh Dustov.

he's a safin-lite, but he has to hone his big guns and consistency

  2. Well, for the men I believe that Nicolas Mahut or Robby Ginepri (both ranked in the 60's) have great potential. Robby had a great run at the French open, and he has a lot of potential for power. Nicolas Mahut also has great potential, and I've seen him do a great serve and volley a few times, but he always squanders leads. He also does a great job at ball-retrieving (very quick!).

For women, i believe that, even though she is a senior on the wta tour, Nathalie Dechy still has great potential. Even though she went out early at Wimbly, she had a great match against Ana Ivanovic (my favorite). She did an amazing job at returning Ana's amazing 1st serve, and attacking her second serve. :]

  3. Ernests Gulbis. I watched him practice and play yesterday at the Cincinnati Masters. He has a lot of power, which can be a good thing if he can control it, or a bad thing, if he can't. He's only 19, so he has time to make a statement on the tour.

Sam Querrey. He just needs to have more focus on the court, and if he has a 4-1 lead, he needs to be able to convert that to a set for him.

  4. Ernest Gulbis is ranked something like 56 in the world and is hugely talented.

Cilic and Del Potro I like too and both have been climbing the rankings alot recently and are now both top 35(I think Cilic is 32 but I'm not sure)

The men have some mega stars at the moment and have really promising young potential stars too yet the Women have lost Justine Henin and are in desperate need to a new star. Noone has looked potentially that impressive that I know of yet. Lets hope Laura Robson!!! As long as we leave her alone and let her find her own way.

  5. For the mens side I will say janko tipsaravic. He's definatley following in the footsteps of Djokovic and will make a great player.

For the women its a tie between Ursulla Radwanska and Bethanie Mattek. Radwanska is the younger sis of Aggie which means she has potential. Mattek is just playing real good tennis now.

  6. 1. Jesse Levine (104)- This guy knocked off Isner a lot, Young a lot, and has gotten high praise from Federer. Give him improvement and he'll be amazing.

    2. Bernard Tomic (1,060)- It'll take a few years for this tennis stud to hit the scence, but my God when he does! At the age of 15 he's already won the Aussie Open Juniors and made good runs at the French and Wimbledon Juniors

    3. Ryan Harrison (715)- He's already won a pro match in an ATP event at the age of 15! Only Nadal and Gasquet have done that recently. He's just not as good as Tomic, but they should reignite the Australia-America rivalry

Those are the top 3. The only reason I put Levine at #1 is because he'll be the first of the lower ranked people to make an impact =]

  7. I'd have to say Ernests Gulbis of Latvia. He has a huge serve and potent groundstrokes and has steadily improved in recent months. At just 19 years of age, he has plenty of time to improve too.

  8. I agree with Chelsea. mahut is a great player, he really is. I watched one of his matches against Djok I think and I was really impressed. Alot of potential. Ginepri also, its not just a few days ago he took Roger to three, he took Roger to three (and a 2nd set tiebreak after wining the first) 2 yrs ago when Rog was at his prime. Dunno why he isnt better as such. I am suprised nobody has said Gulbis, there is alot of hype surronding him at the mo, and deservingly so.

Just to add about Gulbis, he made it quite clear that before his mate Novak won the Aussie Open this yr he wasnt taking tennis as seriously as he should of bin- ie. partying alot. He said that seeing Novak win the Aussie Open made him knuckle down and realise he can do the same- and look how much we have heard his name since!

I agree Levine is another good player, almost gave Nadal a run for his money last week.

  9. Well, that's tough. I'm pretty sure that John Goodman isn't ranked at all. If you are asking who has the most potential for improvement, it's difinitely that guy. As we speak, he is certainly one of the worst ranked or unranked player of all time, so the only place he has to go is up. I expect much improvement from this kid.

  10. Filip Krajinovic... he's a serb who is 16... look for him to break on to the ATP Tour in a big way in a couple of years... currently i think he's ranked somewhere between around 1450 in the world

he's extremely mentally tough and his a really smooth forehand.

he needs to put on some muscle and mature physically a bit

    and

needs work on his serve to become a top ranked player in the world

  11. Tipsarevic, he pushed Federer to 5 sets at this years Australian Open and he took out Roddick in the 2nd round of Wimbledon.
