I've been lubing my cube with vaseline and it works good.I'm looking for other alternatives other than silicone spray as i'm only 10 and my parents ban me from using sprays of any sort.I cant use anything that contains oil either.Help!

P.S.I've solved the cube once or twice but i take about 6 minutes and i think i can improve my time because my cube is starting to stick

  1. As far as I know, vaseline is the best. If it isn't working well enough try putting it in all the corners properly.

  2. Hey there!

I would suggest you not to use vaseline, because it will damage your cube. Which means it will eat your cube up and leave some black stuff behind.

I would say silicone is the based. You need 100 % silicone and not petroleum based.

Some people would suggest you not use WD-40, but do not use that either, because it will also damage your cube.

So the best is to use silicone spray.

I don't think there's anything else that is not spray or oil based stuff would help you lubricate the cube.

    Sorry!

ps: There's some people use jig-a-loo, but is a spray too.

Good Luck! And hope this helps!

  3. do you mean oil like gas?

cuz if you do maybe you could try olive oil or vegtable oil or canola oil or oil you have in your kitchen

  4. try graphite powder.
