Luc Richard Mbah a Moute eyeing a return from injury at the start of regular season – NBA News
Milwaukee Bucks will be an interesting team to watch next season, as they attempt to improve on their record from the previous seasons and make the cut for the playoffs this time around.
The Bucks had a good offseason in which they worked hard to find players that fit their team, and ended up with a promising roster to say the least. Samuel Dalembert is a true centre, one that the Bucks have been looking around
for some time now. Monta Ellis joined at the trade deadline last season and although is still new to the team, the explosive shooting guard could be a key asset for the Bucks if he gets going. John Henson is the rookie coming into the side next season with
high expectations.
But the Bucks have one player who has been with them for some time and who is a great asset on both ends of the floor, and that player is Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.
Moute had a knee injury last season that forced him to miss quite a lot of games and restricted his mobility as well. He underwent surgery on the knee during the summer and is now looking to make an emphatic return to the team,
geared up and ready for the upcoming season where he will get the chance to play the full stretch. Moute talked to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and said that although he is progressing well with his recovery, he is still not sure if he will be back for training
camp or the regular season.
“I feel good. The knee is getting better. I’m right on track to be back for the beginning of the season. I’m just excited to be healthy again. At this point I’m not sure. My goal is to be ready for camp, but if not, make sure I’m
ready. I don’t want to rush that,” said Moute while talking about his return.
Mbah was a restricted free agent last year during the lockout. The Bucks matched a four year $19 million offer by the Denver Nuggets to keep him, but he immediately started having trouble with his knee, which forced him to play
only 43 games over the course of the season.
Mbah brings an all round game to the Bucks table, having the ability to score as well as make off the ball plays. His defence is particularly a strong forte and will be helpful for the Bucks next season as they look to make the
playoffs.
