The Nerazzurri reserve glove-man is keen to extend his time with the Italian giants and wants to stay with them until 2013.
Inter Milan second-choice goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Castellazzi-c22508, is keen to sign an extension to his existing contract at San Siro.
Castellazzi’s contract with Inter is due to expire after the end of the 2011/12 season, and reports from Milan suggest that the Nerazzurri are looking to tie him down under a new deal.
The 36-year-old goalkeeper is in the twilight of his career and wants to play for one more year before he retires as a professional footballer. The player’s agent, Adriano Rebuffi, is confident that the club will reward his client
with a new contract.
Rebuffi was recently talking to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Inter-c39127 News, where he revealed his client’s desire of remaining with the former Italian Champions.
“For now everything is at a standstill! I think that we’ll meet with Inter during the spring, but I don’t think that there will be any problems in an extension until June 2013.” Rebuffi said.
The 36-year-old joined the former Italian Champions from Sampdoria on a free transfer in 2010. He has played as an understudy to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Julio-Cesar-c19961, making 18 appearances since his arrival at San Siro. The former Monza star has made three
league and two UEFA Champions League appearances in the 2011/12 season so far.
After the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emiliano-Viviano-c12483 to Palermo during the January transfer window, Inter will be looking to offer the shot-stopper a new deal after the end of the season. The Rosanero have acquired 50 per cent rights to the
player for a reported 5 million Euros.
Castellazzi has also played for Brescia, Catania and Sampdoria in the past. His most successful spell in Italian football came with Brescia, where he managed 107 appearances in six years.
He also managed to make more than 100 appearances for Sampdoria, before moving out following their relegation to Serie B last season. Castellazzi played a huge role in Inter’s defence of the Coppa Italia last season.
