The former Siena midfielder has impressed many with his pre season performances for the Bianconeri outfit and he reflected on the responsibility on their shoulders.
The Bianconeri player was talking to the official website of Juventus football club and during his interview he went on to remark on the importance of playing for a club of the stature of the Bianconeri outfit.
He reflected on the honour he felt every time he donned the Juventus jersey and remarked that it was nothing short of a dream, what he felt whenever he wore the Juve shirt before a match. The 22-year-old was used sparingly by Antonio Conte and only managed
to appear on 3 occasions for the club.
He scored his only goal for the Juventus football club in last year’s final match of the season, where Juventus won 3-1 against Atalanta, to keep their unbeaten Serie A run intact.
Having impressed the caretaker manager, Massimo Carrera, in the pre season matches of the club, Marrone has got a more notable role in the Juve outfit. His position was tinkered with in the pre season, and Carrera used him in the role of a central defender,
and despite commonly known as a midfielder, the manager was impressed with what he saw.
Marrone made no qualms over the fact that had it not been for his supportive teammates and coaches, he would not be seen in the starting match of the Serie A. He further went on to state:
"The toughest thing to take on board is the tactical aspect. You need to maintain your concentration at all times and make the right movements when covering.”
He also remarked on the position that he has been playing of late, as he has been used behind Andrea Pirlo as compared to playing alongside the midfield maestro.
He was quoted to have said that from his staff to his teammates, everyone pitched in with valuable advice, and remarked:
"On the other hand I feel at ease when setting the play. I operate practically 10 metres behind Pirlo and have to act as a sweeper. In any case there’s a lot to work on during the week and I’m helped by advice from both staff and fellow team-mates.”
