Moreover, according to reports Sergio Perez of Sauber has been considered a potential replacement of the Brazilian driver after his tremendous performance in the Malaysian GP in which he secured second podium finish. However, Montezemolo has recently clarified

On the other hand, the Italian has insisted that he wants his team to perform with consistency in the remaining races. Besides, he said that he is expecting to see promising results in the Japanese GP next week.
"I hope we keep up the performances we had since Spa," Montezemolo told a press conference at the Paris motor show. "[I hope] following Singapore's results we come up with a similar performance in Japan."
Furthermore, he said that they really need to make some substantial developments in their car so as to come up stronger in the upcoming races.
"We need to improve the car, ensuring that any innovations we add to the car's design actually pay off on the track," he added.
At present, the Maranello based team is standing at third place in the constructors’ championship with 245 points. Additionally, they are ahead of Lotus and are behind their main rival, McLaren.
