He added that he is preparing vigorously for his next bout with Paul Butlin adding that he understood his real potential in the Colin bout and now wants to excel more.
Brown, 32, who just started his professional career in 2009, has rattled the whole heavyweight division by his impressive pugilism especially by his recent win over the heavily experienced Colin Wilson.
The bout had the apex Aussie heavyweight gold up for grabs and Lucas performed the unthinkable in a flawless way by collecting impressive scores on all the three cards. Lucas has been in a total 11 bouts and nailed all his opponents to generate a long win
streak.
In addition he has collected 10 of his total wins by knockout which is evident of the fact that the Perth hailing pugilist is a heavy pounder who loves to collect an early win via KO.
During the recent brief interview Lucas vowed that he will make some new fans in Britain as well and wants to prove his worth in the international market. While sharing his views on his last encounter with Colin, Lucas commented, “That fight for the Australian
title really made people sit up and take notice. I feel like I’ve only just begun to realise my potential and I’m improving all the time. The best is definitely yet to come.”
As per Matt Clark and Brendan Bourke, Lucas’ managers, the surging Brown will take on Paul Butlin, the British number 16 heavyweight in a ring which will be stretched at Oldham, England on April 21, 2012.
Lucas, also known as the Big Daddy, informed that he has prepared extremely well for his upcoming engagement adding that he wants to make an impressive entrance in the British boxing world and will win the hearts and minds of the Britons by his agile pugilism.
Brown while mentioning his sparring partner’s names said, “I’ve left no stone unturned in my preparation for this fight. I have been sparring with Pieter Cronje, Mark De Mori and Grant Horwood. I realise that this next fight is easily the biggest of my career
and I intend to make a statement. Of course, I intend on winning over some new fans while I’m there too. I think the English fans will enjoy my style.”
The critics have started to eyeball Lucas since he did exhibit high calibre pugilism in his last bout against Colin Wilson and a second round knockout win over a veteran with 66-bout experience, is something that genuinely attracts attention.
