The LOSC Lille full-back feels that Les Dogues performed much better against Valencia on Wednesday but is disappointed with his side’s overall performance in Europe this season

While talking to reporters, the 19-year-old stated that it was sad to see Lille crash out of Europe is such manner. In the match against Valencia, LOSC played really well and the players gave everything on the pitch until the final whistle but the youngster
feels that it wasn’t their day.
"We gave it everything until the final whistle, but of course we're disappointed with our Champions League campaign.”
Digne added that the need is to take lessons from this and to avoid such mishaps in future. Lille showed great determination against the Spanish club on Wednesday and the defeat is really frustrating for the left-back.
“We'll take lessons out of it because you learn a lot in defeat. We can hold our heads high after our final performance and we just lacked a bit of clinical play going forward. I'm frustrated by this loss."
Meanwhile, Lille coach, Rudi Garcia feels that his side’s upcoming game against Sochaux on Saturday holds a lot of significance and Les Dogues need to get a positive result in order to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.
“Our game at Sochaux on Saturday has become the most important game of the week.”
The boss said that his players are motivated and they want to prove that Lille are still a force to reckon in France. Everyone at the club knows that LOSC need to win as many matches as possible in order to climb up the table.
“We need to do everything we can to win there and improve our position in the table."
