Lucas - Lord of Darkness?

Question

My BSA 441 Shooting Star crapped out again this morning. WOW! Big surprise there, eh. Fortunately, a farmer was passing by with a pickup so I didn't have to push it the 5 miles back to my house.

I need to upgrade the ignition system. I'm down to my last spare set of points and I should have done this years ago. Problem is, I can't remember the name of the CDI ignition kit they used to sell for these bikes.

Does anyone know the Manufacturers name or the name of a supplier who can get me a kit in Western Canada or the Northwestern States? Do they even still make them? And where can I get a spare thyristor for this motorcycle?

Has anyone else discovered that a sense of humour is a prerequisite for Britbike owners/riders?

Lord of Darkness I have not heard that in a while. Boyer is the only one I know of.

A lot of people go with Boyer electronic ignition kits.  Check on ebay, you should be able to find one to fit.
