me: life long vegetarian in 9th grade. ive heard that if i start eating meat now i will get sick

Thurs: went into the cafeteria and saw the schedule thing and it said Cheese Quesadia.

went in and asked the lady "Is ther meat in it?"

she said no.

got it and went back to my table and let my friend taste test it. she said no meat in her part.

after about 5 bites of it i noticed it tasted kinda sorta weird.

i opened it up and BAM!

there was chunks o' chicken in the thing. i was like OMG!

so i went bak to complain and told the lunch lady there was meat in it and she said sorry shrugged and just stood there staring.

right b4 i was about to curse her out my friend stopped me and i took pics of the meat.

Q: would it be appropriate to write a petition telling skool lunch ppl to know everything thats in the crapola they serve?

but what would my thing say? would i be taken seriously? this happened b4 in spaghetti sauce. and im not just gunna bring my own lunch wen there could be other victims

  1. if you really want to be a vegetarian you gotta prepare and eat your own food, so many foods contain animal ingredients and you cant be sure. so just bring your own lunch and let other people worry about thier own food.

  2. Here's where you went wrong.

    When you asked,

"Is there meat in my quesadia"?

    She probably misunderstood you.

Asking a woman if she thinks there is any meat in a guy's quesadia means something totally different to some women.

One time I asked this one chick is she thought there was any meat in my quesadia and she started rubbing all over me.

If you know what I mean.

It was one helluva night that night.

I think the woman probably misunderstood what you meant.

    Are you a big guy?

    Most veggies aren't.

She probably just meant she wasn't interested in you.

  3. You didn't get sick.  No additional animals were killed because a small amount of chicken entered your mouth.  The world does not have to bend to your beliefs.  It was not her intention to fool you.  As you will never know for certain if any animal products were used in the preparation of your food, you should bring your own lunch.

  4. Suck it up.  Lunch ladies aren't trained to know how to cook things and the ingrediants.  They're trained to open boxes and put food in the oven.  I wouldn't really consider someone who hates meat to eat meat unknowingly a "victim".  I would consider someone who almost died in a school shooting a victim.

  5. My heart goes out to you.  Personally, I love meat, but it is your right not to.  I wish EVERYONE knew their job and did it well.  I wish EVERYONE would think of others instead of themselves.  I wish EVERYONE would take pride in their job, not just the paycheck.

It is appropriate to address the school administration of your concerns and report the individual.  If nothing improves, then solicit the help of the other students/staff with a petition.  Remind the administration about serious side effects people experience with food toxicity.  (peanuts, wheat, milk, eggs, etc.)

  6. When you asked about meat, she probably thought you were asking about beef.   Stupid mistake on her part.
