The former Olympique de Marseille midfielder feels that the only reason his compatriot, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082, hasn’t been able to perform is because of his lack of confidence
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 midfielder, Lucho Gonzalez, does not feel startled by the slump in the performances of highly-rated playmaker, Javier Pastore, at his current club, Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentinean said that he considers it logical to find his compatriot struggling
with the French giants, and believes that the midfielder would be more successful in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
Following a string of poor results, Javier Pastore is among those players who have been scrutinized by manager, Carlo Ancelotti, for their poor performance and lack of determination towards the team. The Italian has been severely disappointed with the Argentine
international, and did not hesitate to voice his concern over his performances.
The former Palermo playmaker had once been tagged as the most expensive Ligue 1 signing, but the midfielder has been struggling to justify his price-tag. The player was brought to Parc des Princes for a then-record sum of €42 million. Although the 23-year-old
had been a sensation back at his former club, the playmaker hasn’t been able to duplicate the same performances in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
The Porto playmaker insisted that a hefty price doesn’t mean that a player would come rambling in and start performing from the start. Every player needs time to adapt to the versatility of a new club. He said:
"People think he has to get the ball and dribble round the entire opposing team. That's simply not how things work.”
Lucho explained that the young player cannot win games on his own and needs support from his team-mates. The 31-year-old said:
"He needs a team, and confidence. He likes having the ball at his feet, and it's logical he's suffering given the characteristics of French football, a very physical kind of football."
Pastore’s international team-mate has full confidence in his abilities and believes that he can perform well, once he gets the necessary support required. He also insisted that a country like Spain or Portugal would be ideal for the attacking-midfielder
to play in, considering his talents, Lucho acknowledged:
"Porto or Spain would be ideal for him. But he's made a decision. He's an excellent player.”
