The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 midfielder is not really impressed with how the management has recently dealt with Olympique de Marseille and has blamed them for the club’s fall from grace
The season is about to end in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AJ-Auxerre-c38247 which condemned the Burgundy club to relegation, Les Phoceens can’t say that they will end the season on
a high.
Despite winning the Coupe de la Ligue, Marseille haven’t really lived up to their normal standards.
And for former player Lucho Gonzalez, management is to be blamed for a poor season.
The relationship between Marseille and Gonzalez has been anything but smooth sailing. After a great first campaign at the Rhone side in which he helped them win the Ligue 1 Championelle, the Argentine international saw his form suffer in the last campaign
where Les Phoceens conceded the title to LOSC Lille.
The start of the current campaign was also a poor one as the player failed to adapt to Didier Deschamps’ system. Though he was linked with a move away from the Velodrome last summer, Lucho chose to stay at the club only to leave it this January for free.
Now at Porto, the player is still finding form but is far happier than he was at Canebiere. The recently crowned Portuguese champions are willing to take their time with the player.
President of Marseille, Vincent Labrune isn’t really a big fan of Gonzalez and it seems that the feeling is mutual. While doing an interview with Canal Football Club, the playmaker offered an astonishing output, pointing out the deficiencies of the management
of the club.
“When I arrived at the club, we had a team to be champions. The problem is that the coach and leaders don’t agree. There are disputes, disagreements, and it necessarily affects the performance. When you lose one or two games, it seems the world is falling
apart. There is no balance we want in a big club. This is due to lack of organisation and lack of a leader, a leader who would take real decisions, who says the coach will stay for three or four years.”
Certainly, Gonzalez has pointed out to a few things that many fans and analysts have pointed out.
