Lucho Gonzalez’s move to Malaga might breakdown – Ligue 1 news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 midfielder, Lucho Gonzalez has been linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome eversince the transfer window opened up earlier last month.
However, after so many weeks that saw the player linked with a host of football clubs in Europe, the Argentine is still at the Rhone club and it seems that the player might not be nearing an exit from the club.
The playmaker was initially given a deadline until July 15 to find himself a club but no club has been able to meet Marseille’s asking price for Gonzalez.
Marseille http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director, Jose Anigo while talking to the media said, “Today, there is still no club in for Lucho. Malaga is no longer an alternative. Everyone is doing their best to have more time to discuss the issue with other clubs but Lucho’s stay
at Marseille is not an option.”
Les Phoceens are asking for atleast 10 million Euros for the services of the influential playmaker which is widely considered as the main hurdle in sorting out the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 man’s future. Malaga offered six million Euros for Gonzalez a few days ago
– an offer that was declined by the Ligue 1 giants.
Lucho Gonzalez’s agent, Frederico Simonian and the Phoceens are still far away from being on the same wavelength. Rumours suggest that Jose Anigo was considering inviting Malaga to Marseille in order to make a new offer for the 30-year-old thinking that
Lucho wanted to join the Andalucian outfit. However, it seems that Gonzalez is weighing up other options as well.
Even though Mr. Simonian has conceded that the case has been dragged on too much, he revealed that many clubs are interested in signing El Comandante.
“We have contacts in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and a lot of teams are interested. I’m sure that these clubs will be able to pay Marseille’s asking price (which has reportedly been lowered from 13 to 10 million Euros),” Simonian said.
Gonzalez’s agent admits that a transfer is still far away from materialising but added that Marseille would resolve the matter quickly.
