Moggi suggests Juventus to sell Mirko Vucinic - Football News
Former club official, Luciano Moggi, has claimed that Juventus should sell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mirko-Vucinic-c26024 in the summer transfer window to make way for new players.
Juventus FC recently secured their second consecutive league title this season. They won the league last term also and brushed off competition from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 this time around.
Luciano Moggi, Juventus’ former director, claimed that the club should look for a genuine centre forward in the upcoming transfer window. He admitted that the club needs a striker that can share the burden of
scoring goals throughout the course of the season. He stated that the club should sell Vucinic and use the money to buy a quality player.
Bianconeri have been widely linked with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Llorente-c13671 and Gonzalo Higuain in the summer transfer window. The Spanish international is almost a ‘done deal’ whereas the club has not commented on
Higuain.
Moggi claims that signing Higuain would not be a good move as he is not a champion. The former official added that the attacker is over-rated and is against the prospective transfer.
“They have sold players given [Fernando] Llorente has already [effectively] arrived. So they should continue to sell players that have been made redundant, maybe [even] Vucinic,” he was quoted as saying in an
interview.
On the other hand, Moggi claimed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710 Diamanti would be a great signing as the player has shown immense potential with Bologna in the current season.
“Diamanti has proven himself to be a player who decides games. Obviously there is a need for a more competitive squad because the current players have been overworked,” he continued.
Moggi also commented on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 and stated that the Swedish striker is one of the best players in the world. He added that Ibrahimovic has a brilliant relationship with him during the attacker’s time
at Juventus.
“Zlatan is the greatest guy in the world. He never had a problem with me, partly because there was a very clear relationship between employer and employee,” he concluded.
Juventus have not achieved success in the UEFA Champions League this season and they will have to work on buying new players to strengthen the squad.
