The Boeren technical director reveals that the Heerenveen attacker himself wants a move to Philips Stadion this summer rather than ending up at the Eredivisie champions.
PSV Eindhoven technical director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Narsingh, prefers joining his side this summer rather than moving to Ajax Amsterdam.
The two Eredivisie outfits have long been linked with the 21-year-old winger, but both sides have thus far failed to reach an agreement with the Friesland outfit over the transfer fee.
The Dutch international, who started his professional career at Abe Lenstra Stadion in the 2008/09 season, has been staging brilliant shows for the past couple of seasons.
Netting 13 goals while amassing an extraordinary 31 assists in 58 Eredivisie matches in the last two seasons, the Dutch footballer of Indian descent has garnered interest from a host of European clubs with Fulham, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 and the Amsterdammers
being tipped as the likely candidates in landing his signature.
Brands, however, has expressed confidence that the young winger would most likely end up at Philips Stadion before the start of the 2012/13 season.
“Narsingh told us that he would likes to join PSV. But I have read everywhere that we have increased our bid for him. But we have not really done anything yet, so I'm curious to know where such reports come from”, the PSV chief
was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Eindhoven giants recorded a goalless stalemate in their pre-season friendly against RW Oberhausen, but the technical director was not disappointed with the result.
The Dutchman revealed that result in the pre-season fixture does not bother him, as these games are primarily played to better every player’s match fitness.
“The result here does not interest me. For the players it is mainly a matter of getting fit. For a large part of the starting line-up, it was the first full 90 minutes of the season. That they now have some minutes under their
belts is more important than the result”, Brands concluded.
PSV finished third on the Eredivisie table in the 2011/12 campaign, but are aiming to lift the Eredivisie title next season.
