Question:

Lucid Dreaming...More Than Science?

I have experienced lucid dreams rarely, but, throughout my whole life. Now, I understand the scientific explaination for this and don't doubt it. However, I have been told many times that this state is a "connection" with a past life, the "other side", whatever you want to call it. So, my question is, to those of you who believe this, how do you explain lucid dreaming (as a paranormal occerence)? Do you still agree with the scientific standpoint?

I'm not mocking anyone's beliefs here; I'm honestly curious.

  1. Lucid dreaming sleep is similar to some meditative states--the brain waves were scientifically measured and compared many times; however, the contents of the lucid dreams or the contents of the meditations are subject to personal beliefs, therefore not scientific. Also the term "past life"needs clarification--because to some people it involves any time before the birth, thus a zygote or a foetus may be a classified as a part of past-life period, for example, and this is very scientifically proven part of any ones life. I hope it helps.
