Question:

Lucid Dreaming and Dream Control?

I believe that I have an aptitude for dreaming. If I'm busy or stressed before going to bed, I find that I can usually only remember one dream and not very well. But on nights that I focus and put effort into relaxing and directing my mind I can remember as much as four dreams a night, enough to write them down. What I want to know is has this happened to anyone else? How long do you think it will be until I achieve lucidity? Thanks!

  1. It's really tough to say just how long it will take you to have your first lucid dream. For some people the first comes very fast; other people (like myself) take up to a few months or even longer to have their first. That said, I think that you're well on your way! I would suggest that if you don't have a dream journal yet then to go ahead and get one started. Also, I'd search the net for different techniques to try (my reference site has all the basics, as well as some developing techniques in the forum); these really do help to speed the process. Good luck!

  2. I had my first lucid dream right after I read an article about it. Before, I knew nothing about lucid dreaming. It's hard to tell how long it will take you to regularly have them. All I can suggest is writing down your dreams every day and doing regular reality checks.

  3. Dreams that you enjoy have been known to be harder to remember. Nightmares on the other hand stay fresh in the dreamer's mind for a while. Also, dreaming is arbitrary, meaning the degree that you remember a dream varies everytime. There may be dreams you don't remember at all, some you vaguely remember, and some you remember every minute detail. It may just have been coincidence that you remembered those four dreams on the same night you put focus to it.

  4. Attaining lucidity while dreaming is common, but PURPOSELY inducing Lucid Dreams is not easy. Most people lucid dream a few times throughout a year, and most times people just don´t remember there lucid dreams very clearly. There are many techniques used today to induce lucid dreams, and people try very hard to master these techniques but unfortunately mastering lucid dreams is not easy at all.

In my experience, after doing a lot of research and trying different techniques, I found that binaural beats is the one that works for me. This technique increases success rate to amazing levels so if you are interested in learning more about his technique you can find an excellent guide at: http://luciddreamnow.com

    good luck!
