Lucid deaming?

Hi, I have a few questions about lucid dreaming. This is a subject I'm extremely interested in and any insight would be extremely appreciated.

First of all, I just wanted to hit up on a few questions I had.

1) How often can you lucidly dream?

2) To what extent can you control your dreams when you become lucid, and is there any way to reach a higher level of lucid dreaming.

3) How often do YOU lucidly dream, and is this on purpose or on accident.

4) How long have you been lucidly dreaming, and how good are you at it, and what can you do in your dreams.

6) This is one I really want to know, what was your best lucid dream?

5) Are there any non-drug sleeping tips you have to share? Because I've not been really sleeping lately.

These are just a few of the questions I'm really interested in getting answerd, if you have anything else to share it would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

  1. Now, to be honest, I'm only a teenager, so I couldn't really answer your questions on the mysteries behind lucid dreaming. I just wanted to say that before I read your question, I had no idea that lucid dreaming even existed and now, after reading the first paragraph on wikipedia about lucid dreaming (because YOU made me curious about it) it sounds really interesting to me. So thanks (=

I'll try to help with number 5. Sometimes I can never get to sleep, so I try listening to music. Not heavy metal, though. Something quiet. I'm also kind of weird when it comes to sleeping conditions: I can't sleep with socks on. So maybe it's something strange like that that's keeping you awake. If none of those work for me, I just stay awake with my eyes closed and think that at least I'm relaxing the rest of me, if not my mind, and eventually I fall asleep.

  2. Wow thats a lot of questions. So here goes.

    1) Newbies will be lucky to lucid dream (LD) once a month. It will become more common with comfort and time.

    2) All aspects can be controlled. As you become better you will control more quicker. You'll realize its not about controlling the dream but controlling your mind.

    3) I lucid dream about 3 times a week on purpose.  It has become a natural way to dream now.

    4) I have been LD for about 20 years and I am very good at it. I can do anything. I am like a god more dinamic than any other god every hear of. Things like time, space, s*x, planet, are all things you can change and much more. Become a hawk, or sit outside the universe, or revisit your exact childhood toychest; you're imagination  is the only limit.

    6) Best LD? Hmm thats a hard one. I'd have to say the LD where I visited a courtroom I was not supposed to go into. The judges were robots. I was told not to go in and I told the guard "I'll be the judge of that." (when youre an LD God there are no "can'ts" and you tend to get cocky) I was in front of the robots and my arms froze and they thought I was the one on trial. I tried to convince them I was not the guy they thought I was but they showed a video confession of the guy they thought I was and asked for my plee. I tried a few tricks to move my arms but no luck. This was a battle now. I knew I could wreck the place just with my mind but I would not be controlled. I summoned all my will and my arms started up wards, then POW I was free and I broke the dream as well. In hindsight I should have morphed into something without arms like a huge cobra.

Other dreams like breathing under water, or teleporting are great. Watch a lot of Sci-Fi and you'll get awsome ideas fast.

    5) Sleep is a habit. Sleep at the same time, the same place, and think desirable thoughts, and get up at the same time. This also helps a lot, just before sleep while waiting to fall asleep think about past dreams.

    Plus:

LD last longer the better you can concentrate. As you get better you will extend your time. I have had some LD's over an hour but this tends to take some of the rest out of your sleeping time.

Flying will be more natural than walking and this comes in handy when you don't have much time to plod along.

Teleporting is very handy, try to find your own way to do this and you can excape almost anything and create new dreamscapes on demand.

Recording dreams will create more detale and recall in your dreams.

I hope this helps.  Have fun out there and play nice!
