These questions are for the ones that are efficient at obtaining lucid dreams. 1. Do you have trouble detecting obvious diviations from the real world that, when not dreaming, would set off red flags and tell you you're in a dream. If you're experiencing a lucid dream do you ever not use the dream to it's full potential for fear that maybe it's not a dream afterall? How did you (what methods and such) become a well "trained lucid dreamer? Thank you.

  1. What the h**l is LUCID?

  2. During a time of my life, where I didn't know much, I had brought myself into contact with lucid dream experimentation.

When you first hear about it, or dream lucidly, and want to have more, you will "not" be able to control your dreams, just by chance, or by doing everything you do during the day, or before sleeping, that you did before acknowledging the existence of them. There are actually many ways to harness the ability of lucid dreaming.

The above instructions are all correct, and I agree with them completely, for I have had experiences in their activation, just in different wording.

I would say that number 4 is the best one to do.

I did not have this list when experimenting with lucid dreams. I did however, use a self repeated reminder every few minutes, a couple hours before hitting the sack, that "I was dreaming."  Even though I was in reality, the repeated phrase would take up part of the total memories for the day, and be played out with in the dream, thereby causing a LD.

The reason you can not experience all your dreams (more than 20 a night) is because your conscious (That is your long-term-memory, or mass memory) is not fully aware, or working at its full potential, due to this dreamless nights do occur often for the average folk.

Becoming aware of your dreaming, at first will wake you up, most, if not all of the time. Why? When your brain gets a signal that you are aware or, your conscious is functioning properly, bang, your brain will think, on its own, to wake up the rest of your brain.

If you can control that sensation, cover the instructions to incur a lucid dream, you will have power over your dreams, and can do what ever you want, depending on how long you have lucid dreamed, and what level your at, in controlling your dreams.

You may want to know why I quit lucid dreaming. There are two reasons,

    1. While lucid dreaming, I would think I was awake, wake up in another dream, and think that was reality, then, a few minutes later, wake up again, and so on and son on. Loop dreams are no fun, and I have no clue how to control something so unexplainable and devious.

    2. If we were meant to lucid dream automatically, we would have evolved to do so. The brain requires sleep, awareness of memories, is not sleep, it is work for the brain!

Also, you can end up with psychosis, something I found out just tonight. Being abundantly imaginative, and illogical, can damage the part of your mind, that is rational.

Those are the precautions, the fun part is doing the exploration and controlling your entire mind, or stored memory. This includes making any settings you want, flying, being on the front-line, just plan fun stuff. But remember like tobacco, too much, for a long time, can kill you.
