http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 opened the scoring in the seventh minute which was cancelled by Stefan Kiessling in the second-half. Camargo’s winner in the dying moments of the match earned a vital win for the away side as they remain in third place
on the Bundesliga table.
Favre claimed that the win was very important for his side as it will give a lot of confidence to the players. He admitted that winning against one of the best sides in the league away from home is always great for the team.
The tactician has now set his sights on the German Cup semi-final clash against Bayern Munich at home on Wednesday, March 21. He insisted that the team will be looking to earn their third win over the Bavarian giants this season
after completing a league double over them earlier this season.
“I hope that this win against Leverkusen gives us more self-confidence. Certainly when your head is free, you have a different approach. We are now concentrating fully on the cup game against Bayern,” he was quoted as saying in
an interview.
The former Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 boss feels that the win against Leverkusen has put a lot of load off the shoulders as Gladbach had not won in the previous three games. He hailed his side for the amazing fight back and is confident of
reaching the DFB-Pokal final.
“This win was above all important mentally. When you don't win for three games, then you naturally start to think what is wrong, but now our heads are free again. I was delighted with the fantastic reaction from my side to their
equaliser,” he concluded.
Borussia Monchengladbach will be taking on the in-form Bayern Munich in the last four clash. The Munich based outfit has been in sensational form of late and have secured three back-to-back wins, scoring 20 goals in the process.
