Lucinda Russell sends eight horses to Ayr’s Wednesday meeting
Trainer, Lucinda Russell would be very delighted to hear that Wednesday’s meeting at Ayr goes ahead as planned. The veteran handler has sent eight high-quality horses to the meeting, aiming to play a strong hand at Ayr.
Fortunately, the track conditions did not get worse after 1mm of rain in the past 24 hours. Happy to see the conditions as raceable, Emma Marley - clerk of the course - stated:
"Racing goes ahead today. It's just light rain at the moment but there's no worry on my part. With 5-10mm forecast in the next 24-hours we thought it prudent to call a 7.30am inspection for Thursday's card."

will be held over a distance of two miles and four furlongs.
Despite double penalty, Green Flag looks the one to beat. The handler hoped for heavy going at Ayr, as the testing surface would suit the exciting 6-year-old. Russell told her website:
"He won over 2m6f last time so is dropping back in trip, although the heavy ground will hold no fear for him."
Another talented Russell-trained, Imjoeking, is all set to make an impact in the Get The BetVictor App Maiden Hurdle. Having done well a couple of times since returning from seasonal break, the 6-year-old is likely to carry the momentum forward.
"The form of Imjoeking's bumpers is holding up and he schooled nicely last weekend," the trainer said of the Bumper winner.
In the 2-mile Download The BetVictor Spincast App Now Novices´ Chase, Russell saddles two of the four runners. Tap Night, who is carrying the best odds of 1 to 2, will be ridden by A. P. McCoy.
The 6-year-old is fully pumped following a fascinating triumph here. Lord Of Drums, on the other hand, is determined to bounce back after pulling up last time out.
Further talking about her engagements at Ayr on Wednesday, the handler shared, "Consistent Delightfully tries to defy an eight pound rise for her last win, and Shooting Times has his first run for us."
