The former Bayern Munich defender has launched a scathing attack on his former employers and stated that the manner in which he was treated was shocking.
The former Brazilian international spent three years with the San Siro outfit and during his time at the club, he was a key cog in a hugely successful side. And after giving in quality performances over the course of his time at the club, the manner in which
his exit was handled by the Nerazzurri has left an extremely bitter after taste in the mouth of Lucio.
The Brazilian national then went on to move to Juventus, bitter rivals of Inter Milan, as the Bianconeri outfit offered him a two years contract. While talking to UOL Esporte, Lucio remarked that the club conducted themselves in an extremely unprofessional
manner.
He was not saddened by the fact that Inter Milan deemed him surplus to requirements, but the fact that they were not considerate enough to let him know beforehand. Lucio stated that had he known before that the club were planning on severing ties with him,
he would have been more proactive in looking for another club. He remarked that him and his teammate, Julio Cesar, were kept in the dark over the situation and stated:
“I think that was an act of ingratitude from the club, given the way that things developed. They could have told me the truth sooner. Instead they waited until the end of the season to tell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Julio-Cesar-c19961 and myself to find a new club. Inter showed a lack of
consideration towards us.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597 has not had the best of starts to his career at Juventus, as he has been guilty of making some blunders in pre season matches. He has also been ruled out with an injury, however, the injury is not a major one, and the defender is expected to be back
in action after sometime. He went on to state:
“The fans now tell me I am at a real club, that I need to forget http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.”
Juventus got off to a winning start in the defence of the Serie A.
