The newly signed Brazilian defender took his first steps into becoming a fans’ favourite by commenting that the Bianconeri giants have 30 Scudetti to their name.
The Brazilian national spent around nine seasons in the German league before his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the summer of 2009. The defender was ever present in the Nerazzurri squad and has been involved in the clashes between Juventus
and Inter Milan. However, Juventus were the surprise Scudetto winners in the last season, and the clashes between the Bianconeri and the Beneamata were never of high intensity as they had been before.
A big reason behind the rivalry between the two clubs is the fact that Inter were awarded one of the Scudetti won by Juventus due to their alleged involvement in the Calciopoli scandal. Juventus still plead innocence and state
that they were punished for a crime they had never committed.
Inter Milan let go of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026, however, Juventus took this as an opportunity to shore up their defence and signed the former Bayer Leverkusen
defender.
When quizzed on the sensitive topic of how many Serie A Championships the Turin giants had won, the former Bayern Munich defensive wall went on to state:
“President Andrea Agnelli is right, Juventus have won 30 Scudetti.”
He was further quizzed on how his feelings have changed after moving to the Juventus Arena, and he mentioned that he would be giving his all for the club, and would strive to retain the Championship won by Antonio Conte’s men.
Furthermore, he remarked that he would definitely celebrate if he was able to breach the Nerazzurri goal in the upcoming season. The retired Brazilian national team defender went on to comment:
“I respect my ex-teammates at Inter, but I now play for Juventus and I hope they miss me – I hope Inter have made a mistake. Should I score a goal against them then I will certainly celebrate it as I always give my best for the
team which I play for.”
