The Nerazzurri President believes that the Brazilian’s statement about the Old Lady’s title count was a false show by the veteran to impress his new masters.
Massimo Moratti has undermined the importance of Lucio’s recent statement regarding Juventus’ number of Scudetti, stating that the assertion was just a hoax act.
The Brazilian international recently rescinded his contract with Inter Milan, and joined Juventus on a bosman.
The veteran was recently presented to the media by the Old Lady, where the defender sided with the Bianconeri’s claim of having won 30 Serie A titles, including the one that was given to the Nerazzurri by the Italian FA.
Massimo Moratti laughed off the controversial statement, and stated that he did not believe them to be serious words, rather false statement that was made for a show.
The Nerazzurri chief stressed that the act was directed at pleasing Lucio’s new masters, and also suggested that the statement could have been planted intentionally by the Turin giants.
While talking to the press, the Italian businessman said:
“Those don't sound like serious statements to me. Come on now, that was part of an act. Now that he's with a new club it's clear that he's trying to make them happy – or has been told to make them happy – in this way.”
Moratti was also asked about Mattia Destro, who has seemingly been promised to AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 by Genoa in a recent statement.
The Nerazzurri patron responded with a smile:
“It's terrible. I'm truly broken up over all of this...”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528, who is a summer target for the Milan outfit.
The Beneamata chief stated that while he is closely following the Brazilian, it seems that a lot of clubs are in the contention for the player, and hinted that the Milan outfit may back out if they are not offered a lucrative price.
“Let's see about Lucas. But it seems to me that there's some pretty serious auctioning going on, so… Are Inter in the hunt? Yes, we are. But I'd prefer to see something done right or not at all.”
