The Manchester United boss reiterated that all the sides in the Premier League had a lucky escape at one time or more during the season not just his own team.
Clinging onto their hard-worked three point lead at the top, United are duly on course to securing yet another title.
It seems traditional almost now, that the club would be heavily criticized when they played badly but yet again the Manchester outfit have proven time and time again, that they have what it takes to win, no matter who the opponents are.
Mind games are in full swing and the master himself has been a target this around from Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-Vieira-c29316.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 midfielder commented after the Red Devils’ win over Fulham, that the referee should have awarded a penalty late on when Michael Carrick tackled Danny Murphy in the box.
While Ferguson has admitted that the official might have made the wrong decision, the Scot also added that it was not entirely true that dubious decisions only benefitted them.
“From the referee's position, I can see why he didn't give a penalty when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Carrick-c25282 challenged him.”
"From that position, it wasn't clear. Every club gets breaks here and there, you get good ones and bad ones. It evens itself out over the season, that will never change."
He also added that a perfect example of this during City’s clash with Tottenham when Mario Balotelli wasn’t given a red card after his stamp on Scot Parker and reminded the Frenchman of the time when his side were penalized despite Rio Ferdinand’s perfect
tackle against Newcastle.
"We had a terrible decision earlier this season when Newcastle got a penalty and Tottenham could claim the same when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 wasn't sent off and ended up scoring the winning goal. You could go through millions of things like that."
Manchester United are currently leading the pack by three points and face struggling Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 in their next outing at Ewood Park on Monday.
