Luctor Emergo is tipped to prevail in the £1,617 Play Casino At BetVictor.com Handicap at Ayr in England on Monday, July 9, 2012.
Overnight rain has left the footing soft in the 1 mile 2 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 16:30 GMT, and a total of 11 runners will be battling out for glory. Most of them are struggling for consistency, thus it will be difficult for the punters to decide whether, who will come out on top.
However, the track conditions are likely to suit, Luctor Emergo, more than anyone else today, which is why he has been priced at 7 to 2 by the bookmakers. It will be a clever thing to risk money on him.
The three-year-old gelding does not have much experience but, he is certainly not short of talent. He has participated in 10 races until now and, his record has not been that bad at all.
Although, the Keith Dalgleish’s trainee has managed to win just once in his career so far, yet his performances in other events have been quite impressive, as he finished as a runner-up on a couple of occasions, whereas secured the third spot in as many times.
The Irish runner made his debut at the end of the 2011 season and, he failed to get the attention of the spectators back then. He finished 12th in his very first race whereas ended up seventh next time around. These were the only two times he raced that year.
The start to the new season was also not impressive for the young gelding, as he could only manage a seventh place finish in his first outing.
However, he finally broke the shackles, winning his maiden race in February. He was given a starting price of 8 to 1 back then, but managed to upset the favourite runner by one length.
Since his first victory, Amadeus Wolf’s son has been a lot more consistent than the start of his career. He finished as a runner-up in his previous race, which shows that he is carrying an excellent momentum right now. He will be ridden by experienced jockey, Joe Fanning at Ayr.
