  1. ummm. Lucy is cute. the other two: youre askin for your kid to get picked on in school... Greta? I think thats my great grandma's name...

  2. Lucy!

    Sounds pretty

  3. Adelaide

  4. Lucy, I'm not a fan of the other 2 at all.

  5. I absolutely adore the name Greta...though they are all very beautiful names.

  6. None of them are bad choices. However, I think Lucy seems a bit nicknamey. I would use it as a nickname for Lucinda. Of your list, I think Adelaide is the sweetest. It's a place name with the option of a trendy nickname (Addie) or a quirky nickname (Delly). She has the option of blending in or standing out. Greta is really cute, but I would be concerned that she wouldn't have any options if she wants to be less unique.

  7. " Lucy "   darling name. It doesnt sound severe, and it would serve her well throughout life. Maybe as Lucylee or Lucilla

  8. lucy is very cute!!!!!!

    but luciana is cuter...

  9. I don't know why But, I like the name Greta Hoffman for some reason. The more i say it the more it has a nice ring as well. Good luck!

  10. Lucy or Adelaide, if I had to decide, would probably choose Lucy :)

  11. Lucy Hoffman

    (Spelt Lucie Maybe???)

  12. Lucy is the cutest

  13. It would help to know the middle name, to see which one flows the best. But I like Lucy and Adelaide.

  14. Adelaide Hoffman

  15. They're all lovely.  My favorites are Adelaide Hoffman and Greta Hoffman.  They both sound so sophisticated, and they are names one doesn't hear every day.  Greta fits in well with the other Old Hollywood names that are popular right now, like Ava, Audrey, and Harlow.  Adelaide, in addition to being a lovely feminine classic, is also a city in Australia, and that certainly makes it seem current.

Lucy is darling, but it's gaining rapidly in popularity and it has the tendency to sound a bit more juvenile.  People do have more cultural associations with Lucy, and most of those are positive that I can think of -- the Beatles song, the comic redhead, and the Wordsworth poems, to name a few.  It's more familiar, which could be an argument for using it, but I think I'd still be a bit more excited to meet an Adelaide or a Greta.

Which name sounds best with the family middle name?

  16. i love Adelaide and Lucy - i guess i'll go with Lucy.
