In an Italian show, former Barcelona star Ludovic Giuly spoke about his admiration for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 coach Didier Deschamps and had his say on Raymond Domenech
Back at AS Monaco after spending three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ludovic-Giuly-c22617 is in the final years of a fantastic playing career. However, at the age of 35, the Monaco veteran does not hesitate to go back over certain periods of his career.
A career of highs (Champions League final appearance for AS Monaco and UCL win with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604) and lows (missing out on Euro 2004 due to injury and not called for the World Cup 2006), Giuly has played with the best players of the modern game.
Interviewed on the show I Signori del Calcio Italian, the Lyon-born winger spoke about many experiences.
Giuly spoke about his admiration of Didier Deschamps who was his coach during his time at AS Monaco. The veteran midfielder says that Deschamps helped him a lot in becoming a real professional.
He taught me important values such as the determination to win every game. Thanks to him, I grew up quickly. His experience in Italy has helped instil a rigorous system of play. It’s impressive how he uses what he learned during his years in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.”
A big fan of Deschamps, Giuly can’t say the same for former France manager Raymond Domenech. Giuly raises question marks on the preferences of the tactician who he feels is not a great coach.
“I do not think Domenech is a great coach, he has gained nothing. I think it is stupid to exclude the best players when you are a national coach. He often said that the most important thing was to prove your worth to the club. I did that but was not summoned.”
Giuly then went on to say that the events of 2010 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899
suffered in the last World Cup.
Giuly also gave his opinion on PSG’s new found wealth and said that having resources will make the club a stronghold of European football in the future.
