Ludovic Obraniak coy over his future at LOSC Lille – Ligue 1 news
A luxury replacement at French Ligue 1 giants LOSC Lille, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ludovic-Obraniak-c22623 is stuck at the bench.
With the European Championships on the horizon, the Pole needs to get regular playing time in order to make it to the Poland squad for the Euro 2012 which is co-hosted by Poland and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
The 27-year-old has so far made 10 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Dogues out of which just four of the games have been starts. Surprisingly, the midfielder was selected in the starting line-up by Rudi Garcia in the win over Stade Brestois at the weekend. The
coach’s decision of starting the French-born midfielder surprised Obraniak as well and after the game, the Pole said that he was not really expecting to start the game.
With his starting spot currently blocked by the presence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitri-Payet-c11276, the former Metz player is now considering making a move away from Villeneuve d’Ascq in a bid to get regular game time at another club.
While talking to L’Equipe, Obraniak said, “This year, the competition is even tougher than usual.”
What worries the Pole even more is his future with the Polish national team. With Poland being the co-hosts of Euro 2012 along with Ukraine, Obraniak is eager and desperate to represent his country and knows that he needs to stay under the radar of Polish
national team coach Franciszek Smuda in order to be selected in the squad.
“It has been two years since I’ve seen my playing time reduced significantly. Mentally, I’m getting a little tired because it is a pleasure to play football. And then the Euros begin in about six months. I have a little pressure from the Polish coach. He
wants to see me play more which is quite normal. If I don’t play for more than ten minutes, I will not be able to protect myself for another six months,” said Obraniak thus making it clear that he would chose club over country when the time come.
Obraniak has been an integral part of Lille since his arrival at the club in 2007 but with his contract ending this June, Rudi Garcia might considering selling the player to another club which would be a better deal for the Pole as he will then get a chance
of playing at a club that allows him to stay under the radar of Franciszek Smuda.
