Ludwig Vistalite, Premier, or Boom Theory?

I am shopping for a drum set. The ones I have had in the past have been, well, crappy. I am looking in the local classified ads and I have found some that look pretty good but I want to know if they are higher level (professional level or at least not entry level) sets. My choices so far are:

Blue Lugwig Vistalite set with a gibralter rack, cymbals, but no snare - $900

Orange Premier 5 piece with Pig Pie Percussion snare and cymbals (hi hats, +5 Zildjian A) - $1200

Boom Theory acoustic style 5 piece electronic drums with cymbals and Roland TD-8 Module. - $1500

Which set sticks out as the best and which is the best deal (best for the money AKA best sound or resale if necessary)?

I can email pictures too, if you email me.

  1. Also check out :

Tama, DDrum and Yamaha kits too.

Those are also good kits too.

I've had a 8" x 14" Ludwig snare before and it was the best I ever had. So yes...Ludwig is definitely good stuff.

    Hope this helps...

  2. The Premier set sounds like the best deal but only because the Ludwig kit has no snare, you would probably pay $400 or more for a used Ludwig snare drum , like a 400 or 402 or a black beauty.Sorry but I've never heard of Boom Theory. Sound wise I'd go with the Ludwig's --- John Bonham, say no more.(is it a 26 inch Bass drum ?)
