  1. Yes the weather is wacky here to fly away try ryanair.com its a discount airline that costs sometimes a few euroes to fly. Goodluck.

  2. I would have to agree with the earlier comment, even in the states if weather conditions prevent you from your flight you are just stuck. Know from experience, they are no different than missing a flight in the states. Were it the airlines fault they would pay, but they are not responsible for acts of nature.

For help you can try the red cross they have a station at the airport. But other than getting a hotel until they get a flight there is not much one can do. Lufthansa and United are partners so if you haven't already they can contact united to see if they would have a wider range of flight options.

  3. It is not Lufthansas fault! If the weather is responsible, than they are not obligated to reschedule. Dont blame them.

I dont understand the visa issue????Explain, please.

  4. Hello,

I hate to say this, but if the cause of them missing their flight was weather, the airline is not obligated to help them.  The best your parents can do is wait for the next available flight, try to go online or call a travel agent to book them a return flight.  If it were a mechanical problem then the airline would have to get them on the next flight, but the weather is another story.  Have your parents check to see if they can be flown to another city and make their way home from there.  Other than that, they just have to wait.
