Lufthansa strike how long do you think?

I read that Lufthansa German airlines will be going on strike. My wife and children (I have to work??) are going to Poland via Lufthansa August 18th. Their three hour stop over is in Duesseldorf before flying to Wroclaw. Is there any reason for concern at this point? Never had this happen to our travel plans before. Having used Lufthansa in the past they are a stellar performer in all aspects. It's ashame that this has to happen to a highly rated company.
