  1. i don't know about portugal specifically, but most airlines, trains and buses put a 50 # weight limit per bag.....if it's more than 50# they can charge you extra money

  2. with most airlines it is usually 20KG

i think a luggage fine is when u go over the amount your allowed to take and so they charge u per KG in which u go over

  3. each airline (and coach operator) has their own rules so you would need to check with them

by a luggage fine I think you mean a charge for excess baggage, if you're over the weight limit ... make sure when you're going that don't take too much or else you won't be able to bring back any gifts or keepsakes

  4. This varies with airline.  All airlines seem to be having some sort of restricion.  check with the airline to see what the charges are - Remember that whatever you cannot take with you part of the fun is buying in new malls and markets in other countries.  Those could be part of your souvenirs to yourself.

  5. The weight limit has always been 50lbs. If it is over that amount you have to pay a fine. But, the luggage fine tha tyou are talking about all depends on which air line you are going on. Some do it and some dont, so just call whichever air line you are doing.
