Coach Luis Enrique has criticised the press for attributing all the failures of the club to him, and all the positives to the players. However, the manager admits full responsibility for the club’s problems in the league.
The Giallorossi continue their unpredictable form in Serie A, after they followed a win over Udinese with a 4-0 defeat to Juventus.
The rout was the seventh for the club in their last 13 league games, and has subjected the coach to mounting criticism by the media.
Enrique admitted responsibility for the recent humiliation at the hands of the Old Lady, but insisted that he will not quit due to the roaring criticism in the media. The manager pointed out to the biasness of the media that blames him for all that goes
wrong, and credits the players for all the successes.
The Giallorossi manager went on to say that the club and fans have their faith in him, and he will stay at the helm of the club as long as that support is with him.

“It is my fault that we only have 50 points, but I won’t quit because of your criticism. What doesn’t work is my fault, the positive things we do are down to the players. When the club says they no longer have faith in me then I’ll go. If the fans in general
criticise me then I’ll go. If you criticise me then I won’t leave.”
Enrique’s tactical choice of leaving out http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940 for their trip to Juventus Stadium, has added fire to the criticism after the loss.
The Giallorossi boss pointed out that the veteran is already aged 35, and cannot continue to represent the club for long. He insisted that sooner or later the club will have to get used to playing without him.
“He’s a point of reference and the most important player, but I take responsibility for the decision to not use him in Turin.” He added.
AS Roma will play the Viola in their next Serie A fixture on Wednesday.
