The Giallorossi suffered heartbreak against bitter rivals, Lazio, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 star is still wounded by
the defeat but has urged his men to take positives from the game and improve on their weaknesses.
The Spaniard is impressed with the start his team had to the derby game but they became sloppy after that. Enrique insisted that despite a relatively slow start to the season, he will not change his approach and will stick to his
tactics.
The former Real Madrid star is confident that his playing philosophy will start delivering results when the team gets used to it.
“The derby is in the past now. Roma are ready to begin again. I liked the first 5-10 minutes, as we played at the right tempo, then after the 15 minute mark I didn’t see the team I wanted. When something like this happens, I think
we have to continue working. This is the right path and I must convince my players of that. It’s not an easy journey to the top, we know that. If we can play well for 10 minutes, then we can do it long-term.”
Enrique is impressed with the attitude of his players after the defeat and believes that they are eagerly looking to make amends for it when they take on Palermo at the weekend.
“After such an intense encounter, I thought it might be difficult to resume work, but the squad gave 100 per cent and is ready to face Palermo.”
Roma will host Devis Mangia’s men at the Stadio Olimpico Rome on Sunday, 23 October 2011. The Giallorossi are currently placed 12th in the league table after picking up 8 points from six games thus far.
On the hand, their opponents, Palermo, have had a decent start to the season and are 6th in the table with 10 points so far.
