AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112, has revealed that Luis Enrique’s new project was one of the main reasons behind his decision to prolong his stay at the club.
The Giallorossi midfielder added that he is lucky to have a great manager in the form of Enrique, who has made a huge impact since his arrival at Rome. De Rossi insists that he has high hopes from the new project, and wants to
become a pivotal member in the team.
While talking to the reporters, De Rossi said,
“I want this to be a season of passage, but I hope that the director general [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Baldini] works to construct a winning project. We have to mature, but we want to fight for the title. It is a decision made with my heart and
also my head.”

De Rossi recently signed a five-year extension to his existing contract at Stadio Olimpico Rome, putting end to a long running saga. The midfielder’s contract has been the talking point in the Italian media for almost the past
one year. The Italian could not agree an extension as he had failed to agree wage demands with the Giallorossi bosses.
The 28-year-old has finally put pen to paper on a new contract which runs until the summer of 2017. The Italian international will earn €5.5m in net salaries and will be given 50 percent over image rights.
The Italian international is in his 11th year at the club since emerging from their youth setup in 2001. He has gone onto make more than 350 appearances for the Giallorossi, and has also established himself as a main
player in the Italian national team setup.
