The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker has decided against lodging an appeal on the 10-match ban by the Football Association
The Football Association imposed a 10-match ban on Luis Suarez for his controversial bite on the hand of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC last weekend. The player has been in hot water for his disciplinary issues since he has arrived at Merseyside and he will be unable to play for the Reds again this season.
The striker had the option to appeal against the ban but he refused to do so and is guilty on his actions. The attacker admitted that he has apologised to Ivanovic and has also asked for the apology of all the people he has let down in the last few months.
He added that he make sure that this type of behaviour does not happen again and has asked for forgiveness of the club’s fans.
“I hope all the people I have offended will grant me forgiveness and I repeat my personal apology to Branislav. I know all the things happening to me in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 will help me improve my conduct on the field,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Ajax Amsterdam man added that the ban imposed on him was severe and insisted that he did not deserve it. However, he stressed that his actions were unacceptable and he is not in a position to appeal against the ban. He claimed that he has accepted the ban and will serve it.
“I decided to accept the ban because, whilst 10 games is clearly greater than bans given in past cases where players have actually been seriously injured, I acknowledge that my actions were not acceptable. I do not want to give the wrong impression to people by making an appeal,” he concluded.
The striker was in race to win the Golden Boot in the English Premier League this season and was leading the charts. However, there is chance that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 will take over the position from him as the Uruguayan will not be playing again this season.
