Luis Suarez believes Liverpool can win the Barclays Premier League title next season – EPL News
Inspirational http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker Luis Suarez believes that the Reds’ current squad has the strength and quality to win the Barclays Premier League title the next season under guidance of Kenny Dalglish.
After enduring two disappointing seasons on the trot, Liverpool are now once more being tipped to win the Barclays Premier League title. The Merseyside club have been active in the summer transfer window and with Kenny Dalglish being their manager, the odds
to win the Premier League next season are high for Liverpool.
Suarez has revealed that the club’ ultimate dream is to deliver the Barclays Premier League title at Anfield and has asserted that the players will give their best next season.
“At Liverpool we always dream about being Premier League champions,” revealed the 24-year-old attacker.
The Uruguayan striker is adamant that it will be very hard for Liverpool to claim the English domestic title due to high competition. There will be six teams fighting for the Premier League crown next year. Last season’s winners Manchester United and runners-up
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are among the favourites to win the title in the 2011/12 season.
Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are also potential contenders for the upcoming 2011/12 Barclays Premier League. However, Suarez believes that Liverpool have the quality and squad depth to mount a stronger title challenge next term.
“We know, of course, that it's a very difficult league to win and very competitive. There are a lot of teams who want to be champions. But now we have a squad of quality,” the 24-year-old attacker asserted.
Suarez has claimed that Liverpool certainly have the enough quality to finish in the top four of the Barclays Premier League in order to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
“We have the ability and I think Liverpool certainly should be aiming to finish among the Champions League places,” added the Uruguayan striker.
Liverpool missed out on a chance to play in any European competition after Tottenham Hotspur finished one place higher (fifth) than the Reds in the recently concluded season.
Suarez believes that the lack of European matches will help the Reds concentrate on the Premier League.
“Maybe not playing in the Europa League this year will really help us. We will be able to focus on the league and on getting as high up the table as possible,” the former Ajax striker concluded.
Liverpool will kick-off their upcoming Barclays Premier League campaign with a tricky fixture against Sunderland at Anfield on August 13, 2011.
