Luis Suarez insists he is yet to reach his best in a Liverpool shirt
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker Luis Suarez has insisted that he is yet to reach his full potential and is working hard for it.
The Uruguayan put in a brilliant performance against rivals Manchester United and was involved in two of the three Liverpool goals scored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348.
Suarez single-handedly created the first goal for the home side dodging past three defenders to eventually pass it to the Dutchman for a simple tap in. Kuyt completed his hat-trick after a brilliant Suarez free kick was spilled by Edwin van der Sar.
Suarez said that it was amazing to see the support he received from the Liverpool fans at Anfield after starting only his third match against the Red Devils. He was surprised by the backing of the fans considering he is a new addition to the squad.
“It is great for a new player, someone who has played only three games since coming to Liverpool, to have the support of the public like I did against United. It was fantastic,” said the striker.
However, the Uruguayan said it was difficult for him to play one week and then wait another two for his next match. Suarez has made three Premier League appearances and is ineligible to play in the UEFA Europa League as he has already represented Ajax Amsterdam
in the competition. He added that he is working very hard and playing fewer games is not helping him.
The former Ajax man said that the fans will see the best in him but that will take some time. He said that he wants to perform well consistently for the fans and that beating Manchester United was the most important thing. He added that the Reds will have
to keep winning matches and move higher on the table.
“I think it will take some time before the fans can see the best of me. That is what I am working towards every day, to doing my best for the fans, but I am not the most important thing. The most important thing is that we beat United and that we keep on
getting three points,” added the Uruguayan.
