Chelsea defender David Luiz has hit back at criticism at his playing style which has been labelled as being ‘controlled by a 10-year old with a Playstation’ and is determined to prove his doubters wrong.
The player has admitted that the recent criticism he has received gets to him and puts a lot of pressure on him. However, he is determined to silence his doubters in the coming games.
The Brazilian has been slammed for his clumsy and careless performances in the past, and has been slated for his lack of discipline and composure. Luiz has more than once shown his tendency to venture forward with the ball, leaving gaping holes in Chelsea’s
defence at the back.
His playing style has also been deemed careless and reckless, and his hot temper is no secret either. The player is known to blow his cool every now and then, which adds to the list of his shortcomings.
Luiz recently flew out to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for the Fifa Club World Cup where the Blues will look to put a turbulent season behind them and win a trophy under new manager Rafael Benitez.
Chelsea went through a turbulent time period, where they sacked former manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo, the same manager who won the club the Champions League and the FA Cup last season, and appointed Rafael Benitez as ‘interim’ manager.
The club dropped out of the Champions League, being the first ever defending champions to ever go out from the group stages. There had been significant disapproval over Benitez’s appointment, and with so many star players underperforming, the club faced
considerable problems.
In the midst of all this, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542 says that he is confident the club will still achieve success this season, and has vowed to pick up his performances. The Brazilian said:
“At a big club when you have bad moments sometimes, you need to be strong. No one likes criticism. It’s natural. It gets to you and you don’t like it. I’m not happy about it and I do care because this is my job. You ask yourself, ‘Why are they saying this?
I tried my best, why can’t they see I’m trying?’”
“So you have these moments where you’re down, but you can’t let them last long. They have to pass. If you can’t take that, work at another http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.”
