West Brom’s on-loan teenage sensation http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romelu-Lukaku-c31672 insists that he is very happy at the club, and believes that the club can be the Premier League’s surprise package this season.
The Belgian power house secured a loan move to West Brom in search of more playing time. The striker is originally a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player and was signed by the club last season from Belgian outfit Anderlecht. Lukaku was however unable to feature regularly for
the Blues, and was shipped out on loan to West Brom.
Ever since his move, the 19-year old striker has been impressive. He scored his first goal for the Baggies in their Premier League opener against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. West Brom went on to win that game 3-0, and kick started their season with a bang.
West Brom managed a draw against Tottenham and won at home against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 after their opening game.
The club was on an undefeated streak up until they travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat. Manager Steve Clarke had insisted that his team will bounce back, and that they did.
West Brom got back on track with a 1-0 victory against Reading at the Hawthorns this weekend, and are currently fourth in the league.
Lukaku is more than happy to put his Chelsea ambitions on hold and help West Brom achieve their top flight ambitions. The player insists that the club is the perfect place to develop his abilities, and believes they will go on to do great things this season.
“With the good signings we have had, the good competition and the quality of players we have, I think I had no choice when joining here because it felt good,” said Lukaku.
“Now we have to continue like that and hopefully I can do my best for the team.”
“It’s going well now and we just have to keep both our feet on the ground because this week we have Liverpool coming here, and then we have to go to Villa, not easy games.”
