West Brom’s on loan striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romelu-Lukaku-c31672 is not fazed at the prospect of facing former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas this weekend as the Baggies travel to White Hart Lane.
The Belgian striker was purchased from Belgian side Anderlecht last season by Villas-Boas while he was in charge of the West London club. Regarded by many as the next http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044, Lukaku’s arrival came with a lot of expectations. The player is a centre
forward in the purest definition of the word; tall, well built, imposing, and powerful with an eye for goal.
Lukaku however failed to establish himself in the first team set up, and was restricted to the bench and the reserve league. The 19-year old only managed 8 senior appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and is still yet to score his first club for the Blues.
The departure of Villas-Boas still did not guarantee first team football for the striker, as he had http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 ahead of him in the pecking order. Lukaku was loaned out to West Brom this summer in a deal that was confirmed last week. The player is happy
to have made the move which offers him first team football and a chance to properly adjust to the pace and physical demands of the Premier League.
West Brom won their opening game of the season in emphatic fashion as they saw off Liverpool at home in a comfortable 3-0 score line. Lukaku scored his first ever Premier League goal for the club in the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, and is hoping to add to his
tally.
The Baggies will travel to White Hart Lane this weekend where Lukaku will face his former manager. The player is however not concerned with anything other than grabbing three points for his club.
“I am playing against Tottenham, not Andre Villas-Boas,” said Lukaku.

“This is West Bromwich Albion playing Tottenham, not me playing against Andre Villas-Boas.  I don't really look at AVB and wonder what he is thinking.”
“He is in a new http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 now and hopefully he can do well with that club - but we go there hoping to get a result this week. We will be confident and we want to develop ourselves into a bigger and better club."
“I've learned a lot of good things from Chelsea. Now I'm here to learn at West Bromwich Albion to become a better.”
