Lukas Podolski’s agent Kon Schramm has confirmed that the striker is currently pleased with his situation at the club but refused to rule out a summer move.
Kon Schramm has insisted that his client has no plans to part ways with the Billy Goats this winter, but a move to Italy or England cannot be ruled out in the upcoming summer transfer window. He added that the player will only
decide on his future at the RheinEnergieStadion once the season ends in May.
Podolski’s contract at the club is set to expire at the end of this campaign and his current club is keen to retain him. The player was tipped to leave the club in January possibly for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775, but has now decided to spend
the remaining half of this season with Koln.
However, Italian champions AC Milan have also shown interest in the 26-year-old, and the attacker’s agent is not ruling out a summer move in June. Podolski is yet to sign a contract extension with Die GeiBbocke, having previously
declined the offer shortly before the winter-break.
While talking to Goal.com, Schramm further mentioned:
"Milan? We don’t comment on these rumours. There are a bunch of rumours on him, every day there are calls from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991. The real truth is that Lukas has a contract with Koln and he is comfortable
there. At the moment this is how things are."
The Poland-born striker has been in sensational form off-late, and has undoubtedly been the lone ranger for FC Koln this season. Podolski has scored 14 goals from 16 league appearances thus far, and is expected to play a major
role if Koln are to grab the UEFA Europa League spot by the end of this term.
On the other hand, Podolski will certainly move elsewhere in quest of trophies if the side fails to qualify for Europe at the end of the campaign.
Stale Solbakken’s team is currently 10th on the league standings table with 21 points from 17 games, and will return to action on Saturday, January 21, against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881.
