The FC Koln striker has preferred staying quiet over his possible move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 at the end of this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 has failed to achieve anything big at FC Koln as yet and is highly likely to part ways with the club at the end of this term. However, Koln bosses are eager to convince the striker to extend his stay at the club.
Podolski is has refused to comment on the transfer speculation and is determined to lead his team to a top half finish at the end of the campaign.
The striker’s current contract will expire at the end of next season but he has already being linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. He was expected to leave the German outfit during this year’s winter transfer window but decided against
the move.
If reports are to be believed, Arsenal have already agreed to pay the transfer amount in the region of 10 million pounds but might have to wait for the final word of the attacker.
Podolski has admitted that he wants to focus on Koln now and is determined to guide the team to a respectable finish. He mentioned that the Billy Goats are in a tricky situation at the moment and need to attain maximum points from
their remaining 10 games in order to save themselves from going into the second division.
While talking to local newspaper, Bild, the 26-year-old further added:
"I will give all I have got to the very end. We have 10 more very tough matches. Every game is a final for us. On Saturday we have an important game against Hertha (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536) and we need to win that game at all costs."
On the other hand, Koln manager, Stale Solbakken offered his support to his the attacker irrespective of his decision. He insisted that the striker has been loyal to the club and will definitely give his best for rest of the season
before deciding about his future in the country.
 “Podolski would give everything for Cologne in the last games. Whether he moves or not," Solbakken concluded.
The attacker has bagged 16 goals until now from 20 league appearances which also includes the 81st minute equaliser at the weekend against Hoffenheim. Podolski will next be in action against Hertha Berlin on Saturday,
March 10, at the RheinEnergieStadion.
