Dortmund.
According to Podolski, he has a lot on his mind these days, which might be a reason behind the collision. He was extremely apologetic to the family and made himself available for all financial bearings that the family is going to counter.
The driver, Eduard Paller, accused Podolski of rash driving and demanded proper questioning of the German international. He also complait of striker’s casual attitude in all this matter.
Paller told that Podolski never came back to inquire his health and neither he was there when ambulance was taking him and his daughter to a nearby hospital.
While talking to Punkt12, the driver said:
"[Podolski] saw that we were taken away in an ambulance."[Podolski] saw that we were taken away in an ambulance. We would have thought that he could have asked about us at least once. But he did nothing!"
However, Podolski has dismissed the accusations. He accepted his mistake and according to him, has already offered financial support to the family.
"I immediately inquired about the welfare of the other drivers. Fortunately, not much happened." Podolski concluded.
