Lukasz Fabianski claims Arsenal showed ruthless side in win over Manchester City
Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has said that the English premier League side have started to show their killer instinct, as evidenced in the win over Manchester City on Sunday 24 October.
While Arsenal’s displays against some of the league’s other leading lights have been less than convincing in recent years, the Gunners, displayed their ruthless side against City.
The Citizens were reduced to ten men after just five minutes when Dedryck Boyata was dismissed for a foul on Marouane Chamakh. Goals by Samir Nasri, Alex Song and the returning Nicklas Bendtner helped Arsenal to a 3-0 victory at Eastlands.
As a result of the win, Fabianski has claimed that his club have started to show their true title credentials and are now making the most of any scoring opportunities they create.
'Important to win big game'
He told British newspaper The Telegraph that: "Within the team there was always a lot of belief. But it was still important for us to win a big game like this.
"This season against Chelsea, we played well, but did not win. This game was another big game for us and this time we showed we are capable of winning these games. The difference this time was that we took our chances. That is the big difference in these games.
In front of goal, we managed to be more calm. That's what we have to work on and keep like this. We are more ruthless now.
"But in the fight for the title, it's not only about big games. It's about 38 games and you have to try and win every game. This was a big game for us and we have to treat every game like this. Every single game is a big game for us."
