Lukasz Wojt claims Men’s 200m IM title in Wuppertal: 2011 German Short Course Nationals
The penultimate day of the 2011 German Short Course Nationals kicked off in amazing fashion with the thrilling performance of Lukasz Wojt, in Wuppertal, Germany, on Sunday, November 27.
More importantly, Wojt went on to clinch the Men’s 200m Individual Medley crown by knocking out his strongest challengers in the pool with a scintillating blot of 1 minute and 58.47 seconds. In the meantime, Wallburger claimed silver medal in the respective
race by touching the finishing divider in a winning time of 1 minute and 58.62 seconds, whereas, the bronze title went to Fabian Schwingenschlogl in a mark of 1 minute and 59.31 seconds.
Philip Heintz grabbed fourth position in the respective splash by thrashing the finishing fence in an impressive mark of 1 minute and 59.78 seconds. Moreover, Ensar Hajder gave his best attempt in the final match by banging the finishing barricade in a time
of 2 minutes and 00.22 seconds and the sixth place honour went to Kevin Wedel in a mark of 2 minutes and 00.51 seconds, respectively.
In addition, Dominik Franke got seventh position in the respective splash by thumping the finishing barrier in a time of 2 minutes and 01.97 seconds, while the eighth place went to Michel Ziemann in 2 minutes and 02.23 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Men’s 200m Individual Medley B final heat was grabbed by Philipp Forster in a winning blot of 1 minute and 59.90 seconds. Paul Wudtke outperformed Steffen Hillmer in the respective race by hitting the finishing barrier in a winning time of
2 minutes and 02.33 seconds, while Hillmer went on to clinch the third place honour by clicking the finishing blockade in a time of 2 minutes and 02.54 seconds.
Maximilian Kruger earned fourth place in the respective splash by banging the finishing blockade in a time of 2 minutes and 02.55 seconds, while Christian Vom Lehn settled at fifth place in a time of 2 minutes and 02.58 seconds. Lukas Husing claimed sixth
position in the respective match by hitting the finishing divider in a time of 2 minutes and 03.64 seconds.
Clemens Kaiser was placed at seventh spot by striking the finishing mark in a time of 2 minutes and 03.76 seconds. Last, but not the least, the eighth place went to Marcel Karow in a respected mark of 2 minutes and 03.78 seconds.
Owing to his impressive performance, Lukasz Wojt was awarded the golden crown along with a cash prize after the session’s completion. The 2011 German Short Course Nationals is providing a good opportunity to all young guns of Germany to prepare themselves
hard for the next Olympic Games, in London.
