Luke Davison wins the fourth stage of the Tour of Gippsland 2012
Tour of Gippsland is more of a one man show as Luke Davison secured three out of four stages at the race after his outrageous performance at the 54.5 kilometre stage 4 of the race.
He crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 29 seconds and restricted the race favourites.
Brenton Jones of Team Torq / Bicycle Superstore finished second with Anthony Giacoppo of Team Genesys Wealth Advisers Professional Cycling and Edward Bissaker of Team Jayco-Honey Shotz holding the next three spots respectively.
Davison was delighted after the win and thanked his team-mates for their continuous support during the event.
"It’s not a bad tally so far, hopefully we can get another one or two,” he cited.
The Australian also succeeded during the first and the second stages of the race and is looking good to bag an overall victory at the contest.
Brenton Jones of Team Torq/Bicycle Superstore, Anthony Giacoppo of Team Genesys Wealth Advisers Professional, Edward Bissaker of Team Jayco-Honey and Ben Hill of Team RBS Morgans-ATS occupied the next four positions respectively.
Anthony Giacoppo is still leading the stage 4 classifications with Luke Davison of Team Budget Forklifts is 13 seconds behind at the second position.
William Walker of Team Drapac Professional Cycling is holding the third position with a lead of 23 seconds.
William Walker leads the SP AusNet Sprint Championship category with a total number of 21 UCI points while Anthony Giacoppo of Team Genesys Wealth Advisers is one point behind at the second spot.
Team Genesys Wealth Advisers Professional Cycling leads the stage 4 team’s classifications with Team Drapac Professional and Team Budget Forklifts and RBS Morgans-ATS Pro Cycling holding the next four positions.
