Luke Donald, Matteo Manassero and Alvaro Quiros tied in lead in Round 2 of BMW PGA Championship

Luke Donald, Matteo Manassero and Alvaro Quiros smashed a score of 6-under par in the 36-hole session of BMW PGA Championship to take a share in the lead. The €4,500,000 European tour event is taking place at the par-71 Wentworth
Golf Course in Surrey, England.
First round leader, Donald stepped on the first tee at 7.00 am in the morning, but could not utilize the early conditions to his favour. He bogeyed the opening hole, which reflected the kind of game which was on its way on Friday
by the veteran. Only two greens away from the initial blow, Donald anchored a beautiful birdie after hitting a 3-yard long tee shot towards the right side of the fairway. The shot was essential, but Donald could not retain the gains from the birdie earned
on the fourth hole, as he dropped a shot on the seventh hole and wrapped the front nine at 1-over-par.
Nothing exceptional happened on the back, as the Englishman bogeyed the tenth hole and left the remaining holes at par before sealing the back with a birdie on the seventeenth. Donald sealed the second round of the tournament at
a score of 1-over-par 72.
“It was definitely tougher, the pins were harder to come by,” said the 33-year-old veteran, who posted a 64 in the first round. “I didn't have the same control and I didn't expect to come out and play like yesterday. It's very
hard to replicate that. But it was slightly disappointing that I didn't take advantage of some of the opportunities I had some of my bogeys were a bit weak.”
Similar performance was given by Manassero, who compiled a 66 in the opening round. The rookie carded three birdies against two bogeys in the back and left the front at par. The Italian managed to save par, but he will need much
more than that to lift the second trophy of this season.
Meanwhile, Quiros was brilliant with his irons, which is why he posted a considerably lower number than the other two leaders. The Spaniard reeled six birdies against two bogeys to sign for a 67.
